History

Roberto Design International GmbH was founded by the owner and managing director, Horst Weber, in 1979. With the label BOGY’s, Roberto Design quickly became renowned in the leather goods industry and achieved international success already in the 1980s. With the continuing expansion the company moved to today’s company premises in Bad Sobernheim in 1994.

From October 1997 to June 2014 Roberto Design was the responsible licence partner for Marc O’Polo Accessoires. Within their study “Fashion Bags”, the trade journal TextilWirtschaft rated Roberto Design ‘Top Brand 2009’ in 2009. The company ranked first in the central categories such as “good product and manufacturing quality“, “strong regarding functionality“, “correct, complete and punctual delivery”, “short-term subsequent delivery of bestsellers“, and “good management by representatives and field service“.

With the licensed brands CINQUE BAGS, CAMP DAVID and SOCCX and the relaunch of its own label BOGY’S Brooklyn NY, Roberto Design reorientated its brand portfolio in 2013, and continues to expand.
